Academies at GBDS 8th Grade Israel Trip!

Every year our 8th grade students have the opportunity to travel to Israel along with several other Schechter schools from the area.

As part of our Jewish Studies curriculum, students delve more deeply into their Jewish heritage. By studying the meaning and interpretation of texts, they are better able to understand their own Jewish identity and its context.

In Hebrew classes, students are encouraged to speak and write creatively and begin to use Hebrew as a living language. As part of the culmination of their efforts, our eighth grade travels to Israel as a class to experience our Jewish homeland together, along with their Hebrew teacher.

This is a life changing and formative experience for the kids.

Please help Daniella, Benjamin, Dovi, Adam, Leeor, Noah, Joshua, Kaylee, Moses, Yirshalem, Jared, Ezra, Jack, and Nathan make this trip possible.
